OER Africa and staff Visit NOUN VC Abdalla Uba Adamu






A team led by Patrick Eyan, Director RETRIDOL alongside Brenda Mallinson from OER Africa and staff from academic planning and the OER unit of the university paid a courtsy visit to the Vice Chhancellor of National Open University (NOUN) Prof Abdalla Uba Adamu this morningmorning

The visit is view of a Workshop cordinated by OER and RETRIDOL unit of the university a progect established by SAIDE ( SOUTH AFRICAN INSTITUTE FOR DISTANCE EDUCATION )
SAIDE is a Non Profit Organisation based in Johannesburg South Africa


The VC welcomed the Team saying anything that will serve the University (NOUN) will always be welcome. He stated that Copywrite Plagiarism and Laziness in academic staff in changing, updating course materials are challenges OER faces in NOUN
The VC was impressed and commended OER Africa for their effort in establishing Institutional polecies that support effective OER practice in Africa Universities. He suggested that the team should provide Materials for people without access to proper education
The workshop  began yesterday and is shedled to end on the 31st or August
