Adesina-Uthman re-elected Dean Faculty of Social Sciences

Dean of the faculty of Social Sciences, Dr. Ganiyat Adesina-Uthman, has been re-elected as the Dean of the faculty for another two years. 

In a keenly contested election held today at the faculty in Abuja, Adesina-Uthman defeated Prof. Kamal Bello with 24 votes against 13.

She was also returned elected as the head of the department of economics unopposed. 

The election also saw the heads of Mass Communication, Tourism, Criminology and Security Studies all returned unopposed to their positions. 

But a new head of the political science department emerged.

The incumbent HoD of the department was defeated by Dr. Aminu Umar to emerge as the new HoD.
