INSTRUCTION: (i) Question ONE is compulsory (ii) Answer any other two

1a. There is no generally acceptable definition of Comparative Education. DISCUSS
(15 marks).
1b. The phases of historical development of comparative education can be divided
into three:
(i) Name the three phases - 3 Marks
(ii) Discuss the three extensively - 4 Marks each = (12

2a. Many approaches can be used to study comparative
education. Mention and discuss any five of them. 10 marks (2 Marks each)
2b. Mention five academic or professional associations which directly influence the

3a. (i) Highlight the qualities of a good Educational Comparativist 4 Marks
(ii) Discuss any two of those qualities. 4 Marks
3b. Describe Education in England under the following headings:
(i) Nursery Education
(ii) Technical Education
(iii) Teacher Education
(iv) Adult Education
(v) University Education
(vi) Administration of Education in England 12 Marks (2 Marks each)
