Allocation Of Resources Will Be According To Performance – NOUN VC
Henceforth resources
allocation to study centers would be according to performances of such centers,
Vice Chancellor of the National Open University has said.

Adamu stated this while briefing Centre Directors and relevant stakeholders of
the institution at the monthly operational meeting of the senate. He added that
a situation where a study centre is lagging behind in terms of students
enrollment base and such a Centre is up in a race with a viable Centre in terms
of students population preference will go to the viable Centre in terms of
allocation of needs.
The vice chancellor also
assured members of his administration readiness to triple the number of
professors he inherited before the end of his tenure.
Adamu also took time to
explain to members the various reforms his administration has embarked upon
with the purpose of bringing the university with global best practices.
He also assured members
of his administration resolved of not closing any study Centre but will soon
roll out a new strategy for setting up of community study centres.
In a related
development, a new directorate of academic affairs for National Open Univeraity
is underway, Vice Chancellor Professor Abdalla Uba Adamu has said.
Professor Adamu declared
this at the monthly operational meeting of the Senate in Abuja. He said the new
directorate which will be in charge of academic matters will be headed by a
director.
Adamu also took time to
admonish members to strictly observe the right procedure of communication so as
to make work easy
