Latest News From NOUN - Academic Time-Table & Exams Now Standardised ...Adamu

Vice ,Prof. Abdalla Uba Adamu, says the standardisation of students academic time-table and examinations being championed by the Management, is to enable the students have more time to study their programmes and enable them prepare adequately for the examinations.

The Vice Chancellor who stated this at a meeting he held with Deans of Faculties and HODs in Lagos, said members of staff saddled with the responsibility of conducting the examinations, would equally have adequate time to prepare for the huge task ahead of them.

Adamu said the need to clarify this procedure became necessary in view of the numerous complaints of unnecessary delay in academic calendar in some quarters.
He described as unfair, a situation in the past, whereby students  commenced examinations barely two weeks after they concluded their registration process.

He said the new procedure would now be such that, as soon as students complete registration for courses, the portal would be closed to new admissions, until ten weeks later, within which they were expected to familiarize themselves with the study materials and also interact among themselves before the commencement of the examinations.

Adamu allayed the fears that examinations might not be twice in a year anymore, insisting that henceforth, examinations would now be held in June and November every year.Adding that for the next round of admissions, the portal would be opened immediately after the Senate approve the results of the 2nd semester examinations.
