After observing a short break, the Orientation exercise commenced. In his opening remarks, the Director welcomed all the newly admitted students into the NOUN family and urged them to focus on their studies and be good ambassadors of the institution. He affirmed the commitment and willingness of NOUN management to provide all the necessary support to the 78 study centres to enhance students’ learning. The Director stated that, in spite of the security situation in the Borno State, the Centre will do its level best in ensuring that academic activities are smoothly progressing.
He further added that, NOUN does not operate like other convention universities; what NOUN does is to uniquely facilitate the learning process of its students through the provision of all the support needed by the students. NOUN ensures that all the necessary facilities are made readily and unequivocally available.
The Interactive Orientation ceremony featured presentations from various heads of units starting from; learner’s support, counselling, general administration, bursary, library, ICT, entrepreneurship & incubation to the activities of the store department.
Atmosphere in the Centre was full of excitement as students were conspicuously seen cheering each other and snaps photo shots in the Centre’s photo gallery corner.
