NUC grants NOUN permission to run B.Sc Film Production and B.Sc Broadcast Journalism Programmes

The National Universities Commission (NUC), has granted the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), permission to run B.Sc Film Production and B.Sc Broadcast Journalism.

This was contained in a letter dated 2nd October 2018, signed by the Director, Academic Planning, Dr. Gidado Bello Kumo, on behalf of the Executive Secretary, Prof. Abubakar Adamu Rasheed.

“I am directed to inform you that the Executive Secretary considered and approved the establishment of the full-time mode of the programmes (Film Production, B.Sc and Broadcast Journalism, B.Sc), effective from the 2018/2019 academic session”.

According to the Executive Secretary, the approval does not cover the part-time mode of delivery of the programmes. He further stated that all programmes shall bear only the approved titles and nomenclatures, and any change will require re-approval of the commission.
