Congratulations To National Open University Of Nigeria (NOUN) On Its Inclusion In NYSC Scheme And Law School

I congratulate the entire National Open University o Nigeria Students, Staff and Management on the fruitful efforts towards the inclusion of its graduates into the NYSC Scheme which takes effect from the next batch.

NOUN is the only Open University in the whole of West Africa and the largest higher institution of learning in the whole of Africa with student expanding to 800,000.

It's been a battle for NOUN Management and its well wishers on how its graduates will be allowed into the NYSC scheme since the year it was recommissioned by the ex-president, Cheif Olusegun Obasanjo who is a graduate of Christian Theology in NOUN and also a PhD Student of the school.

Early hours of yesterday, 6th July, 2017, while watching and listening to OGTV News, it was reported that the Senate has amended the Bill that established NOUN which now makes NOUN Graduates eligible for NYSC and its Law Graduates into Law School across all its study centres in Nigeria.

I want to use this medium to extent a note of acknowledgement to various bodies who have struggled to make his fight a success since over 10-year of its recommission, to mention a few, Prof Vincent Tenebe, former NOUN VC, Prof Adamu, current NOUN VC, and all NOUN Staff and Management, Congress of NOUN Student (CONS), Media, and even students themselves who will never rest about this issue. I am indeed happy.

Now, no more discrimination, no more inferiority complex, no more low self esteem for NOUNites.

Great NOUNites, Great Erudits, Great, Great, Great!!
